Hastelloy alloy is a nickel based alloy. It comes in primarily two groups; one with more molybdenum and the other with more chromium. Both are called the Hastelloy. They are all exceptionally resistant to strong oxidizing solutions and have high durability in reducing agents. They are also resistant to intergranular corrosion because of the low carbon content and the less carbide precipitation with welding. The Hastelloy application list is longer. There are different forms and shapes of products manufactured with different standards that are used in a variety of applications. They are used in sour gas wells, waste treatment plants, chemical processing components, pulp and paper industries, reaction vessels in chemical plants, heat exchangers, fans and in food processing equipment as well. The Hastelloy properties are unique in that they are very much resistant to oxidation and reduction; they perform well under cryogenic temperatures and in high temperatures, resistant to wet chlorine gas, resistant to most chloride and chlorine derivatives and so on. The Hastelloy price per kg differs from product to product and you can get a full price list from us. There are many Hastelloy advantages over ordinary metal and other alloys. The resistance to localized corrosion is very high along with resistance to uniform corrosion. The resistance is also good against most salts and brackish waters. The Hastelloy abbreviation is used in the metal industry mostly instead using the full form nickel chromium molybdenum alloys. The Hastelloy alloy composition includes molybdenum, chromium, iron, tungsten, cobolt, manganese, copper, vanadium, phosphorus, silicon and sulfur. Depending on the grade and standards of the alloy, the composition differs. Each of these classes and grades has specific characteristics and applications. The Hastelloy suppliers sell all different grades and the different products as well. The products range from fasteners to pipes and bolts to contour rings. Other then Hastelloy, under the superalloy family many grades are incuding such as Inconel & Monel.
